About Us
In 1989, Edward Rist a developer serving Boston saw the need for a laundromat to help spur economic development in an underserved neighborhood and commenced with construction to 124-130 Harvard Street, Dorchester. In months to come, there was a ribbon cutting of 124-130 Harvard Street with the primary focus on Bridgeway Wash Laundromat. The grand opening included the community, the Director and staff of Neighborhood Development, and the then Mayor of the City of Boston, Mayor Raymond Flynn.
"Shirley" Frederick, a longtime resident of Dorchester and an employee of Edward Rist was assigned to building management and also managed the daily operations of Bridgeway Wash. During the 90's, the neighborhood saw tough times. Shirley became the face of the facility and the community, and served with respectful treatment to all. In 1995, Shirley saw an opportunity into ownership of Bridgeway Wash.
In 2013, Bridgeway Wash was left with no alternative, but to close the doors after the neighboring Restaurant sustained a significant loss due to a building fire. Two years later, all the neighborhood stores re-opened for business, but Bridgeway Wash suffered extensive water damage that left Shirley to make a difficult decision on if to forever close Bridgeway Wash. As time lapsed, the neighborhood let their voices be heard and Bridgeway Wash listened. The People wanted their laundromat back and Bridgeway Wash was re-named, Bridgeway Laundry. Welcome to Dorchester's only luxury Laundromat, Bridgeway Laundry.

Bridgeway Laundry has 26 Washers and 31 Dryers. Between your wash and dry you can enjoy a Hot Beverage of your choice while you lounge in our comfortable airport style seating or our counter height chairs with round table that is great for laptop usage, homework or having a meal. We have outlets with USB charging ports throughout the laundromat. Forgot your charging cord? We have that too!
We also boast (4) TV's including a 75" big screen, complimentary WiFi service for all our customers, 24/7 video surveillance We are fully attended with well trained staffs who are courteous and ready to assist. Bridgeway Laundry is committed into making laundry days excited, pleasant, and within budget.

W e offer a professional Wash Dry Fold Service. Although most orders are completed the same day, we offer guaranteed same day service at an additional cost. Bridgeway has incorporated a new "Family Read & Play Space".
Laundromat wash cards are popular yet dated technology. Bridgeway has two options to pay. We are proud to be one of the first laundromat in Boston that is APP base. All our washers and dryers are powered by ClearToken the smart way to pay. ClearToken is an APP that you install on you iPhone or Android. Using ClearToken is a simple process visit www.cleartoken.com to learn more. Your APP can be loaded by our staff using cash or card, and for our traditional customers, our machines also accept quarters.
